Midland, Ontario
This 20-unit transitional housing complex provides temporary accommodation and support services to Midland, Ontario’s most vulnerable residents. The building’s material pallet and massing was designed to give a residential character to this multifunctional project. The lower administration offices are separated from the private dwelling units which enter from the upper level at the sites' higher grade. Carole Boucher of Innovative Home Design (IHD) is the chief architect-in-charge of this project, with Howard Rideout of HRA as the architect-of-record.
