Thomas Jefferson’s University of Virginia was the inspiration for the design of the China Europe International Business School’s (CEIBS) new campus in Chengdu. The 19 separate buildings of this research-focused business school enclose a “Great Lawn” that gently slopes from the University’s main administration building to Chengdu’s Nobel Peace Park. Howard Rideout designed this project while working as a consultant to B+H Architects in Shanghai.
