Midland, Ontario
The 28,000 sq. ft. cultural centre in Midland is located across from the historic library and is part of a master plan to create a cultural precinct within the town’s core. While located on Midland’s main thoroughfare, King Street, it extends the activity of the town along its secondary axis with a low slug wood canopy and continuous wall of undulating glazing. The interior spaces include a 250-seat multipurpose performance space with balcony, 121-seat Huronia Players Theatre, views to the Quest Art School + Gallery, a café, reception counter and a gift shop.
