Midland, Ontario

Located within the Midland Cultural Centre, this gallery occupies the building’s most important façade. The gift shop continues the retail tradition of the town’s core and the main floor galleries open up to the street to passing pedestrians. The activities of the first and second floors are visible as one enters the building, inviting patrons up to the upper level classrooms and galleries. Glazing facing north provides the diffuse light necessary for the creation of art within the teaching classrooms.
